What is Microneedling? Microneedling, also called percutaneous collagen induction therapy, is performed using a handheld pen-shaped device, electrically powered, with tiny needles that make precise, microscopic punctures in the skin. These “micro-injuries” do not leave scars; they work by helping to stimulate the skin to repair itself naturally through a process called dermal remodeling. This process starts with inflammation, which stimulates the skin to produce new collagen (the elastic fibers that make skin tight, smooth, and youthful). Collagen levels in the skin decline as we age, and new collagen can be produced when the skin is in repair mode. Three to five monthly or biweekly treatments are recommended to achieve desired results. Through a series of sessions, microneedling can increase elastic skin fibers. Microneedling also helps the epidermis (the outermost layer of skin), which naturally thins with age, become thicker and tauter. What conditions can we treat with Microneedling? Microneedling is used to treat a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin such as acne scarring, surgical scars, other scars, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles, and stretch marks. (The procedure is less effective on deep, narrow “ice-pick” acne scars than on broader ones). Microneedling does not deliver heat to the skin like lasers do. As a result, people who have melasma (dark patches of skin) and hyperpigmentation (dark spots on the skin) can undergo microneedling without the risk of worsening pigmentation problems. (Darker skin is susceptible to pigmentation changes as a post-inflammatory response). Microneedling is sometimes used to help topical skin treatments to penetrate the skin more effectively. For example, Add ExoBoosters or MultiVitamin Luminfusion to any Microneedling treatments to further boost your treatment. See Luminfusion and ExoBooster sections. Side effects and aftercare There are a few temporary side effects to be aware of with microneedling. The procedure causes short-term swelling, redness, and skin flaking, which can last for a few days. Most people can return to wearing regular makeup within a day of necessary aftercare products. Therabeautic’s Unique approach. We want everyone to look like the best version of themselves and our approach is not to make people look different or augmented but to look like they did five years ago or 10 years ago—to turn back the clock a little bit and improve their skin health. Advice A full consultation is required and any contraindications and precautions are discussed for advanced treatment. Skin will be more sun-sensitive after treatment, so SPF is also advised. Microneedling may worsen active breakouts, so people with active inflammatory acne or oral herpes should not be treated with microneedling until the lesions have cleared. Those with a history of oral herpes may be prescribed an oral antiviral medication for one week following treatment because the procedure may stimulate a new cold sore. Your skin therapist will give you full aftercare advice.

This treatment technique includes the use of multiple exfoliation formulas to deliver advanced levels of skin resurfacing. LuminFusion uses a powerful retinol and hydroxy acid blend peel plus an eye peel, and Daily Microfoliant to deliver instantly smoother and glowing skin - think glazed donut! 2. infuses with actives NanoInfusion technology deeply infuses active ingredients in the skin which is something you cannot do at home. We use a professional-only Microneedling and NanInfusion device. The beauty of NanoInfusion is advanced results with no or little downtime! 3. glow with LED LED red light therapy visibly restores skin luminosity to reveal glowing skin immediately after treatment. Red Light Therapy supports the skin’s repair process, helping to smooth skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Skin is left smoother, more radiant, with that glass-like skin effect. Who is luminfusion suitable for? LuminFusion is suitable for all skin types and is perfect for big events and special occasions. If you’ve never had a professional skin treatment before, it’s best to seek the advice of a professional skin therapist as to your suitability for advanced treatments as it may be wise to prime your skin in the lead up to your treatment to ensure maximum results and no adverse effects. For the ultimate glow for your special event (or just because) book your treatment 24 hours before. What results can I expect to see? Results are instant and as skin settles over a 24-hour period, skin continues to glow in the days after treatment. If you have a big event like a wedding coming up, we’d advise a series of treatments over several weeks to maximise results.
What is Melanopro? The Melanopro Peel System is a comprehensive skin care program to visibly reduce hyperpigmentation and skin tone irregularities. It’s a 2-phase system; The first phase is performed by a skin care professional in a skin centre. The second phase is continued at home with prescribed products. This advanced peel treatment is suitable for all skin tones including melanin-rich skin. What skin conditions can be treated with MelanoPro? Uneven skin tone, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and melasma are all types of skin pigmentation that can be tough to treat. Introducing Melanopro Peel System – a clinical-strength peel program that delivers visible results in less than 6 weeks! What’s involved in the treatment? Initially, your suitability for the treatment will be ascertained via a consultation and a patch test is required. Your skin professional will also advise on how best to prime your skin prior to receiving the treatment which may include a professional skin peel, especially if you haven’t had this advanced level of skin treatment before. Your Melanopro treatment begins with gentle cleansing then a peeling masque is applied. This peeling masque will need to stay on the skin between 4-7 hours, with the exact duration determined for you by your skin care professional. You will be given thorough instructions on the removal process which you do at home. 24 hours (or later) after you remove the peeling masque at home, you will start using the prescribed home care products. The Continuous Resurfacing Cream is applied daily until finished, lasting approximately 6 weeks. You also receive UltraCalming Mist to assist with skin soothing and hydration. Your daily skin care regimen will be restricted to the Melanopro home care products for the duration of the treatment (up to 6 weeks) and you will be given comprehensive guidelines on how to look after your skin during this phase of treatment, plus regular check-ins with your skin professional for the duration of the treatment program. Is there any downtime? Yes, a little downtime is to be expected as Melanopro is a clinical-strength peel, though compared to similar peels, Melanopro is very well tolerated and comfortable for most people. For the first 7 days, we expect to see some level of skin flaking and skin may feel sensitised. Your skin professional will keep in contact with you to guide you through your application of the Continuous Resurfacing Cream to ensure the best and most comfortable use of this daily peeling product. What results can I expect to see? Final results will be measured at the end of the 6-week program, however, results in fading and breaking up of pigment can start to show as early as 2 weeks into the treatment program.
What are ExoBoosters? Exosome therapy involves the application of topical exosomes (tiny, cell-derived messengers that carry bioactive molecules to enhance cellular communication. in the form of what looks and feels like a serum or gel) after treatments like resurfacing lasers or during microneedling. Our ExoBooster Treatment is the cherry on top of in-office treatments because it can only be done in conjunction with one — never on its own. That's because, although exosomes are nanoparticles, they cannot penetrate skin on their own. They need those disruptions in the superficial layer of skin to start communicating with skin cells. Otherwise, they'd just sit on the surface of your skin doing nothing, (this is also the reason why over-the-counter serums and creams aren't spiked with exosomes just yet.) The client leaves post-treatment with their exclusive 7-day professional dose of booster serum to powerfully firm, smooth and rejuvenate their complexion like never before. Lactobacillus Exosomes deliver encapsulated bioactives segregated by living cells to combine with restorative Pro Resolution Technology, helping support natural cell renewal and boost skin's vitality. How do exosomes benefit the skin? As we get older, our skin cells start to atrophy, and our bodies produce fewer exosomes — similar to how we experience a decrease in collagen production. This leads to sagging, fine lines, and wrinkles. Exosome therapy allows new exosomes to swoop in to help wake up inactive skin cells and older exosomes so they can get back to work to repair, strengthen, and rejuvenate skin. In the process, exosome therapy increases collagen and elastin production, improves wound healing, and decreases pigment production resulting in plumper, firmer, brighter, and smoother skin. You'll be able to see improvements within two to six weeks following the treatment. The cool part is exosomes are continually active over a period of six to eight months post-treatment, so the results last longer than Botox. You can also get them as often as you get your laser and microneedling treatments done. A recent study published in Biomaterials Research even found that exosomes have anti-inflammatory properties to help diminish the symptoms of inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (also known as eczema). Because exosome therapy also speeds up recovery time and boosts the efficacy of cosmetic procedures, it also cuts down the number of treatments you may need Exosomes help "seal" your skin post-laser treatment and reduce the potential for allergic reactions. Who should try exosome therapy? Basically, everyone can benefit from exosome therapy because they have such a wide range of benefits. Individuals who are looking for a new anti-wrinkle treatment and overall skin rejuvenation can see improvement with this procedure, as well as those with uneven texture or a dull complexion, acne scars, enlarged pores, and unwanted pigmentation. And best of all, exosomes come with no notable side effects, so if your skin can tolerate lasers or microneedling, this extra step doesn't pose any added risks.

Advanced Treatments
1. Semi-Permanent Makeup
Microblading is an eyebrow tattooing technique, categorised under permanent makeup, but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each 'hair' is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural or desired brow colour and skin tone will also be taken into consideration. This pigment/ink is deposited into the superficial layers of the dermis and therefore fades more quickly, unlike permanent tattooing methods which deposit pigment deeper into the dermis. Patch tests require 24+ hours before your treatment.
2. Blemish Removal
Advanced Cosmetic Procedures (ACP) using electrolysis can quickly and easily treat a wide variety of skin blemishes, often with immediate results. Amongst the many treatable blemishes are skin tags, blood spots, milia, warts/verruca and mole reduction.
A medical consultation form has to be completed before all ACP procedures.
Conditions we can treat: Warts and Skin Tags Skin tags and warts are entirely different conditions with separate causes and presentations: Skin tags are smooth, while warts are rough with an irregular surface. Skin tags are more raised from the skin by a thin stalk whilst warts are only slightly raised or entirely flat. Warts are caused by a virus while skin tags have a variety of causes, including ageing, weight, hormones and friction. Most warts are contagious, but skin tags are not. For all their differences warts and skin tags do have some key similarities: Both conditions are benign, meaning they are not harmful or cancerous. Both can cause you distress and a desire to be rid of them. Both can be effectively treated using electrolysis. How to treat Skin Tags and Warts Electrolysis is a quick, easy, safe and effective way of treating many skin conditions and has a proven record with warts and skin tag removal. Using electrolysis or thermolysis/short wave diathermy for treatment of warts and tags cauterise them from the skin which then heals very quickly leaving no mark. Milia Usually seen around the eyes, including the eyelid and between the eyelashes, nose and upper cheeks. Milia are irritating small, hard, round white nodules slightly raised above skin level, formed when keratin is trapped beneath the outer layer of the skin, forming a tiny cyst. Milia can also be confused with stubborn whiteheads but they are much harder in texture due to keratin, a protein found in hair and nails. They are called Milia plural or Milium singular and most people will experience at least one in their lifetime. Milia can appear on people of all ages, ethnicity and genders. They often develop when the ducts leading to the skin surface are clogged up, such as after an injury, blockage by rich creams/products (such as sun cream) that prevent the skin ‘breathing’ as normal. They can also be caused by dry dehydrated when dry flakes of skin block the pores Seborrhoeic Keratosis Seborrhoeic keratosis is a benign, asymptomatic mass, primarily caused by the ageing process. It is also known as seborrhoeic warts, senile warts, barnacles or basal cell papilloma. They have a thick wart-like surface and are usually colourless when they appear and become brown to black over time. Seborrhoeic keratosis can be confused with other skin conditions, so it is advisable to seek a GP’s advice before visiting an electrologist. Syringoma Syringoma is a non-cancerous (benign) bump, usually found on the upper cheeks and lower eyelids of young adults. Syringomas are completely harmless and are caused by the overgrowth of cells from sweat glands (eccrine glands). Who's at risk? Syringomas can appear at any age, though they usually occur after puberty. Syringomas can develop in people of any race and of either gender, though females are more commonly affected. Syringomas sometimes run in families. Up to 18% of people with Down syndrome have syringomas. People with diabetes mellitus are more likely to have a type known as clear cell syringomas. A less common condition, eruptive syringomas, is more commonly seen in people with darker skin. The most common locations for syringomas include: Upper cheeks, Lower eyelids, Armpits, Chest, Abdomen, Forehead, Genitalia (penis or vulva) Syringomas typically appear as small (1–3 mm) flesh-coloured-to-yellowish bumps. They usually occur in clusters on both sides of the body and in an evenly distributed (symmetrical) fashion. Eruptive syringomas appear as multiple lesions that all develop at the same time, usually on the chest and abdomen. Syringomas do not itch or cause pain. Xanthelasma Xanthelasma palpebrarum are blemishes caused by deposits of cholesterol under the surface of the skin. They range in size from very small up to 1ʺ in diameter and are normally found on the eyelids. Dermatosa Papulosa Nigra Dermatosa Papulosa Nigra are small brown or black raised areas of skin that affect one third of people with Fitzpatrick skin types 5 and 6. In many cases, Dermatosa Papulosa Nigra is a genetic condition that appears on the face, upper cheeks and temples, eyes and chest and increases with age. While Dermatosa Papulosa Nigra does not pose a threat to your health, it can have an impact on your self-confidence and mental wellbeing. Blood Spots (Cherry Angioma) Cherry Angioma are small blood spots that are benign vascular blemishes. They can vary in size from small pin dots to as large as a penny; and in colour from bright red to darker tones. Cherry angioma are not painful, but may bleed when scratched and can become distressing, particularly if they are in difficult to mask areas.

Unlike other methods such as waxing, depilatory creams and shaving, laser hair removal gives long lasting results, without the ingrown hairs and irritation associated. Pigmented Lesions (age spots/sun damage, freckles and cafe au lait)

We only treat epidermal lesions and cannot treat moles, raised lesions, melasma, PIH or medication induced pigmentation.
We can only treat skin types 1-3 with!
Laser Genesis (Skin Rejuvenation)
We use short pulse ND:YAG laser technology that only penetrates the epidermis and gradually heats up the skin tissue. It works amazingly on general skin rejuvenation, fine lines and wrinkles is antibacterial, anti ageing, helps with rosacea and redness, speeds up cell turnover, stimulates fibroblast to regenerate collagen and elastin fibres, helps with congestion and open pores, lifts and brightens the skin and minimises PIH, and best of all it is safe to treat all skin types and tones.
